No nasty surprises
You pay after the preview. You approve before printing.
Refunded until the comic goes to print
Your comic is made only for you: the law excludes the 14-day right of withdrawal for personalised goods (art. VI.53, 3° of the Belgian Code of Economic Law). We go further: until your comic has gone to print, you can cancel and get a full refund, no questions asked.
You receive an e-mail, “Your comic is going to print”, which closes that window, usually 48 hours after your approval. A damaged or non-conforming book is reprinted at our expense.
Your photos belong to you
- They are used only to draw your comic.
- Hosted in the European Union, deleted automatically 30 days after delivery, or immediately on request.
- Never used to train an AI model, never shared with an advertising third party.
- Photos of children: never used in advertising, never published, even with your consent.
Frequently asked questions
Everything people ask before ordering.
Another question? hello@kadolino.com, we reply within one working day.
Does the comic really look like us?
Yes. We draw your features from your photos: face shape, hair, eye colour, glasses, beard. It is not a generic character with your first name on it, and you check it on the free preview before paying.
Is it drawn by hand or by an AI?
By an AI, and we say so plainly. The illustrations are generated by artificial intelligence from your photos and your story, then proofread, corrected and laid out by us before printing. That is what makes a fully bespoke comic possible at €59.90 instead of several hundred euros.
How many photos do you need, and which ones?
One to three photos per person. Ideally a front-facing portrait, well lit, face uncovered and sharp, no sunglasses, no filter. One photo per character beats a blurry group shot.
What happens to my photos?
They are used only to create your comic, hosted on European servers, never passed on to third parties and never used to train an AI model. They are deleted automatically 30 days after delivery, or immediately if you ask.
